An eight-race program is scheduled for the Warrnambool Racing Club on Monday afternoon and Horsebetting.com.au’s Victorian form analyst presents his best bets, top odds and free quaddie selections. The meeting is set to be run on a Heavy 10 with the rail out 7m the entire circuit for the card getting underway at 1pm AEST.

Warrnambool Best Bet: Irish Rockstar

Our best bet on the Warrnambool program comes up in the final event on the card when the Lindsey Smith-trained rish Rockstar looks to right the wrongs from a poor effort at Ballarat on July 11 as an odds-on favourite. His win over this track and distance two starts back was as dominant as they come when saluting by seven lengths. From barrier 12, we expect Mikaela Lawrence who is claiming 3kg to go forward on the three-year-old. Irish Rockstar will look to dictate terms, kick clear and prove too good once again over the Warrnambool 1300m and repay favourite punters’ faith.

Warrnambool Next Best Bet: Andress

The Lindsey Smith-trained Andress returns from a 21-week spell and looks well placed to break through for a deserving maiden victory. The three-year-old Dissdent filly has had both starts at Warrnambool but were on a firmer deck during the summer, but with this first-up run being over 1300m she will take some beating. Her debut run in her initial campaign saw her run a close-up second in a run that screamed of her needing further. Despite drawing barrier 11 here on Monday, we expect Declan Bates to go forward on the filly and settle in the first four where he can then push the button when required and prove too good for her rivals.

Warrnambool Next BestRace 3 – Andress (#8) $2.50 with Sportsbet

Warrnambool Best Value Bet: Periscope

In the second leg of the quaddie, we are happy to side with the Patrick Ryan jnr-trained Periscope who comes off a close second in a high weight race in similar conditions on July 4. The six-year-old Raise The Flag is as honest as they come and will appreciate going around with 60.5kg on his back. Expect Dean Yendall to look for a spot in midfield with cover and despite being a maiden on wet ground he has four runner-up finishes to his name on tracks with the sting out of it and Monday looks to be the day he breaks through for a deserving win.

Warrnambool Best Value BetRace 6 – Periscope (#9) $9.00 with Sportsbet
