Eight races will be run and won at Wagga on Tuesday. The track is rated a Good 4, with the rail in the +6m from the 1400m to the winning post, and then true in the remainder. Race 1 is set to jump at 1:15pm.

Former South Australian galloper joins the Mitchell Beer stable at Albury and has been well backed early into odds on. The now three-year-old was simply dominant on debut at Morphettville and then failed when put straight into the deep end at Listed level at his next start. At his most recent outing he was found to have mild tying up in his hindquarters, so he’s been moved along to a racing region that he should be lengths better than. He gets a 4kg claiming apprentice onboard here, with their only job really being to sit and steer. He should be just way too good based on what we’ve seen in SA.

Next Best – Race 2 #6 Torsiton $4.40
Four-year-old Reset mare does her best racing here at Wagga with a win and a second from just the four starts at the track. She is a half sister to Cherry Tortoni and a full sister to Café Tortoni which is worth noting given how good they both go. A year ago she was on an ATC Oaks path, finishing just 2L off Group 1 performer Toffee Tongue in a Kensington maiden. While the 1200m may be a touch short of her best, we’re of the belief that she’s the best horse in the race and may well be too good.

Best Value – Race 8 #5 Ons Vier $11
Ons Vier can go back-to-back here in the last after a great win at Corowa in late December. The seven-year-old mare will be suited by the hot tempo as she is likely to land just off midfield from barrier 5. Patrick Scorse stays aboard which is a plus, given he’s won four times aboard the Star Witness mare. She can win again here at a juicy price with the top horse racing betting sites.
