HorseBetting’s New South Wales racing analyst brings you his best bets and quaddie tips for the Wagga program on Friday, June 4. With the track rated a Good 4 and the rail out 6m from the 1400m to the winning post and then true for the remainder, we could see some good times throughout the afternoon with a slight advantage to those on the speed. The first of nine races is set to jump at 11:45am AEST.

Best Bet: Toretto

Toretto lines up for Matt Dale and Jeff Penza in the second race on the card, where he should be able to justify the short odds. The three-year-old son of Press Statement has only managed to place once in four starts, but that was a slashing performance last time out when second to Allez Brew at Albury after coming from near last at the 400m. He rises from 1400m to 1600m, which looks ideal, and jumping from barrier three can allow Penza to be a touch closer to the pace on the three-year-old this time around.

Best BetRace 2 – Toretto (#7) $1.50 with Sportsbet

Next Best: Secret Disclosure

While we are by no means trial experts, we know a good one when we see it, and Secret Disclosure fits the bill. Having her first start on Friday, this daughter of Dissident should be ready to go after a devastating nine-length trial victory on May 19. Drawn wide in barrier 14 under Mathew Cahill, we expect to see the three-year-old filly cross them early, control the race and be too slick over the 1000m journey.

Next BestRace 3 – Secret Disclosure (#6) $2 with Sportsbet

Best Value: Lennox Road

Lennox Road looks a good bet in the second leg of the Wagga quaddie at around the $8 mark. This seven-year-old gelding was a good last-start winner at Albury over 900m when able to lead all the way, and given the kind barrier (8) in this 1000m dash, we expect to see a similar effort. Amy McLucas will do the steering, which is a positive given she has ridden this gelding in his last three outings and claims 2kg, getting the weight down to 58kg. If he finds the front early, it will be all over bar the shouting a long way from home.

Best ValueRace 7 – Lennox Road (#5) $8 with Sportsbet
