Warwick Farm Race 3 – Ready For Love

Is there a more aptly-named runner taking to the Farm than Ready For Love on Valentine’s Day? Good thing for us is the horse is pretty handy in its own right.

Having its second run back after a decent performance at Wyong, the Joe Pride filly returns to Sydney, where it has had its best success. The three-year-old’s sole victory came at Hawkesbury second-up and the horse is yet to miss a top-two in its career.

It all bodes well for a solid run on Wednesday.

Sandown Race 1 – All Too Handy

Here’s one for the guys spending Valentine’s Day home alone this Wednesday.

The Darren Weir-trained filly All Too Handy has recorded two placings from as many starts to begin its career and we think it’s ready to take the next step. The three-year-old gets the perfect gate to jump from to utilise its early speed.

In a smaller field to kick off the Sandown card we believe All Too Handy will be good enough to breakthrough at the third time of asking.

All Too Handy is $2.60 to win at Ladbrokes

Ascot Race 1 – True Delight

Spending time with your loved ones on Valentine’s Day is a true delight, but if a four-year-old mare we’re favouring gets up in the opener at Ascot, you’ll be even happier.

True Delight has been making headway with every start and is ready to win at the fifth time of asking. The daughter of Reset has not missed a placing this preparation and finished in the top-two for the first time in its last start at Geraldton.

Having apprentice Brodie Kirby will help, and we believe the light weight will help tip True Delight over the edge on Valentine’s Day.

Launceston Race 3 – Breathtaking

Call your significant other “breathtaking” on Valentine’s Day and you’ll be in the good books, wager and get Breathtaking over the line however, and you’ll be the author of the good book.

The Barry Campbell-trained filly has shown a lot of promise throughout its career to date, finishing third in back-to-back events before being turned out. The horse went back into work this month and recorded a strong trial win on February 8 at Longford.

If that performance is anything to go by Breathtaking is ready to win.

Breathtaking is paying $2.40 at Crownbet
