The track is rated a Soft 5, while the rail is out 7m from the 1000m to the winning post and then 4m for the remainder of the course. HorseBetting.com.au brings you the best bets and quaddie selections for the Cluden Park meeting.

Best Bet: Husette

We don’t have to look far to find this girl – she is the first horse in the racebook. Roy Chillemi’s two-year-old filly Husette has won her last two starts by a combined three lengths, and both runs came at this track. The daughter of Husson has had five starts for three wins and a third, with plenty of form stacking up around her. She rises to 60kg but keeps the services of Stephen Wilson, who has steered all three of her race wins to date. Drawn in barrier five in the field of six, Husette will be midfield on the outside of runners and should be too good over the 1200m journey.

Best BetRace 1 – Husette (#1) $2.20 with Sportsbet

Next Best: The Egyptian

Clinton Taylor and Ashley Butler combine in the penultimate race with dominant last-start winner The Egyptian. While the winning margin was only 0.8 lengths, he did beat Overseas, who goes good, and that pair put a further two lengths on the rest of the field. He now has to win in a tough Class 3, but he has shown plenty of speed and the drop back to 1000m should suit him. The son of The Factor has been racing well with two seconds and a win from three starts this campaign and should now be peaking fourth-up. Drawn well in barrier five, expect him to be right on the speed and going very close to winning this.

Next BestRace 7 – The Egyptian (#6) $2.60 with Sportsbet

Best Value: Limerick Moon

Nine-year-old gelding Limerick Moon has been in the placings in both runs this campaign, with his most recent being a third behind the very good Modernism. He led the field for most of the 1400m journey on that day and now steps back to a 1300m Benchmark 65 against easier opposition, so with a soft time in front he can be figuring in the finish again. The son of Man Of Illusion has drawn perfectly in barrier one and gets the steer from Krysten Swaffer, whose 3kg claim gets the weight down to just 54kg. He will be in this for a long way.

Best ValueRace 6 – Limerick Moon (#8) $21 with Sportsbet
