Metropolitan racing in Queensland heads west along the Darren Lockyer Way and up the ranges to Toowoomba for an eight-part card on Wednesday afternoon. The track is rated a Good 4, the rail is in the true position, and the first race will jump at 12:33pm AEST. HorseBetting.com.au’s Queensland form expert has found two best bets, a value runner and a quaddie for the meeting at Clifford Park.
Best Bet: Dis Dah Wun
Tony & Maddy Sears will leg Jimmy Orman aboard the talented four-year-old mare Dis Dah Wun. After winning her first four Queensland starts, she went on to run fourth as a well-backed commodity at Eagle Farm on April 3. That race was won by Centrefire, who has since won again, while East Asia ran second and went on to run on strongly when third last Wednesday, so the form looks solid. Drawn in barrier five, we expect her to make the running and be hard to beat in the last.

Next Best: Reality
Jimmy Orman can bookend the card if he kicks it off with a win on maiden four-year-old Reality. Having placed in all three of his career starts, the son of Shooting To Win looks to get his chance to break through here at Toowoomba. Orman has ridden him just the once and is riding well in Chris Anderson’s red, white and black silks of late, so that could be the winning formula again. Drawn in gate two, he should be chasing the bunny and going on to win his maiden.
Race 1 – Reality (#3)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1367991_01]
Best Value: King Klaus
The main race of the afternoon sees 11 sprinters do battle over the Toowoomba 1000m, and one horse who is flying but will need to go to the next level again is King Klaus. After winning his maiden by nine lengths at a non-TAB meeting at Gladstone in February 2020, the relatively lightly raced five-year-old has gone on to win another six races from 12 starts. That record includes a dominant 3.5-length victory at the Sunshine Coast over this trip five weeks ago, albeit in a three-horse field. This race is harder, but he loves winning, gets a top jockey in Ron Stewart and is drawn to make the running from barrier three. He can lead all of the way at a handy price.
Race 7 – King Klaus (#2)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1367991_07]
