Nine races will be run and won at Eagle Farm on Saturday afternoon, with the feature being a ripping Open Quality. The track will be in the good range, and the rail will be in the true position. Race 1 will jump a tick before midday at 11:58am.
Race 8 4. The HarrovianThe North Queensland warhorse, The Harrovian; makes his metropolitan debut in the race of the day at Eagle Farm. Up against the likes of Desert Lord, Phantom Falcon and Impasse, it’ll be a fantastic spectacle regardless of the result. We do think The Harrovian brings the best form into this race and has so much more up his sleeve. He won with 67kg two starts ago, before coming out and braining them in the Cairns Newmarket over this same distance. He is looking at eight wins on the trot and gets the booking of top Brisbane hoop, Brad Stewart from barrier four. The pair will settle midfield and be storming down the middle of the track.

Stuart Kendrick saddles up ex-Victorian Fort Wayne in a winnable Class 3. After winning in maiden company at Sandown in March, the Uncle Mo gelding was sent to Queensland for an easier campaign. He was outclassed first up at Doomben before heading to the Sunshine Coast where he was well backed and won in impressive fashion. He will be suited by the big Eagle Farm straight and is drawn to do very little work from barrier two under Matthew McGillivray. It was nearly a horror show last start when he was held up for most of the straight, but he was still too good for them. He can be winning this.

I Am Invincible three-year-old I Am Swerving represents value in this three-year-old handicap over 1400m. He overcame the outside alley in his Queensland debut and will have to do the same here from barrier 10, but we think he can. Ben Thompson hops aboard for the first time and will come across and sit in the one-one with any luck. He brought North some brilliant New South Wales form which included a placing behind Prague at Group 3 level. He rises 1.5kg from his last run, but should be a big beneficiary of the extra 200m and has race fitness on his side. Eagle Farm will suit.
