Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1850m)

Tricky Mix presents as our best hope in an open affair. The Pins filly has made progression throughout each of its runs, culminating in a second placed finish promising type Hardly Surprising on February 1. Hardly Surprising looks ready to win.

Race 1 tip: Tricky Mix to win at William Hill

Race 2 – Maiden (1000m)

The resuming Once Upon A Dream will be looking to continue its quality first-up form. The Dream Ahead filly was only half a length away from winning on debut on July of 2017 and presents as a strong hope fresh in a hard to read field.

Race 2 tip: Once Upon A Dream to win at Ladbrokes

Race 3 – Maiden Plate (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182166_03]

Adina Rose was terrific on debut, finishing just half a length off Ruby’s Reward on February 7 as a huge outsider. The three-year-old filly will improve on that performance and should be right in the mix here.

Race 3 tip: Adina Rose to win at Sportsbet

Race 4 – Maiden (1200m)

A powerful second-up run makes us believe Pourquoi Pas can breakthrough at the sixth time of asking. The horse was only eight parts of a length away from winning at Colac on February 11, and a third-up placing in the past makes us believe it can deliver here.

Race 4 tip: Pourquoi Pas to win at Sportsbet

Race 5 – Benchmark 58 (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182166_05]

The Darren Weir-trained Kaiken has been great this preparation, culminating in a two length win at Colac on February 11. The Exceed And Excel filly gets a great gate and will be hard to hold out.

Race 5 tip: Kaiken to win at William Hill

Race 6 – Benchmark 64 (1850m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182166_06]

Consistent form across this grading makes us think Real Finniss can deliver once again. Over its last two attempts at BM64 level the horse has won by well over a length, and we think gelding can make it a hat-trick of BM64 wins.

Race 6 tip: Real Finniss to win at William Hill

Race 7 – Benchmark 58 (1000m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182166_07]

The speedy beginner Captain Crackerjak will spear out from gate nine and attempt to win this from the front. The horse has been consistent at this grading over the last three starts, finishing within a length on two of those occasions. This looms as a winnable race.

Race 7 tip: Captain Crackerjak to win at Crownbet

Race 8 – Benchmark 58 (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182166_08]

Last-start maiden winner A Quiet Drink will prove hard to beat here. At Bordertown the horse ran the field into the ground as a $21 outsider and should jump at a much shorter price on Thursday.

Race 8 tip: A Quiet Drink to win at Sportsbet
