Seven races will be run under lights at Corbould Park on the Sunshine Coast this Friday night. The rail is out+10m for the entire circumference of the course, and the track is rated a Heavy 8. Race 1 is set to jump at 6:23pm.
Best Bet – Race 4 #5 Azzareach

Well we have tipped Azzareach twice since his last start and he has been scratched both times, so we aren’t going to let him go around without our hard-earned on. Like we’ve harped on about on numerous occasions, he brings in some seriously good form with a second to Bleu Zebra at his most recent start. He’s won just the one race in his short career which came on a soft track, so he should handle the wet conditions. From barrier 5 under Ron Stewart, he’ll find the front and should be too good for them on a track that is likely to play into his favour.

Next Best – Race 7 #7 If You Can Dream
Tony Gollan and Georgie Cartwright combine in the last with what looks to be a promising three-year-old filly in If You Can Dream. On debut she ran a cracker to finish in third at this track, only missing by half a length. She’s likely to settle in the first few here under Cartwright from gate three which is a big plus as she steps out to a mile. She’s experienced a soft 7, so if it stays heavy she should handle it better than most, especially given she’s by So You Think out of a Savabeel mare. She gets ideal conditions to see her break the maiden at start two.

Best Value – Race 6 #12 Highlights
Michael Rodd stays aboard the Guy-trained Highlights on Friday night in a race that looks up his alley. He won a maiden that has proved to be a good form reference, with three subsequent winners at Eagle Farm five weeks ago on a Soft 5 and then just missed here on the third of January. He’s drawn gate 8 under Rodd, but he should be able to push forward and settle in the first three of four horses. He profiles really well here fourth up and staying at the mile on a heavy track, so he should be the toughest customer on the night.
