Sunny Coast Horse Betting Preview

Eight races will be run and won on the Sunshine Cost this Sunday afternoon. The track is rated a Good 4, with the rail in the true position for the entire course. Race 1 will jump at 12:40pm local time.

Best BetRace 3 – King Klaus (#2) $2.10 with Sportsbet

King Klaus took everything in his stride last campaign, going from a Benchmark 60 win at Bundaberg, to a class 4 win at the Sunshine Coast. He’s drawn gate 3 in the field of six, and looks the main speed influence in the race under Jason Taylor. He’s never missed the place in seven starts, and has a near perfect record at this track and trip. He should be winning this.

Next BestRace 7 – Broken Hero (#1) $2.75 with Sportsbet

Brad Stewart combines with his old man, Neville Stewart here aboard dominant last start winner, Broken Hero. The three-year-old son of Better Than Ready won well here second-up, before being thrown in the deep end when 7L off Goldsborough and Isotope. At his most recent start at this track and distance 10 days ago, he won by a margin of 5L at Class 2 level. Drawn barrier 7, he’ll be able to slot in off what looks a hot tempo and should prove too classy.

Next BestRace 6 – Thatfridayfeeling (#2) $3.15 with Sportsbet

Michael Lakey saddles up Thatfridayfeeling as he shoots for three straight wins. The son of Roc de Cambes won by a space at this track and trip two back, before pulling away late on a Heavy track at the Gold Coast over 1800m again at his latest. He’s drawn to get the run of the race here under Sean Cormack, which should give him every chance to make his 1800m record read 4:3-0-1.
