Sunshine Coast Horse Betting Preview – Sunday, 13 December 2020
Eight races will be run and won at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday afternoon, with the first of those kicking off at 2:15pm. The track is rated a Soft 7, with the rail out +7m for the entire circumference of the course.
Stuart Kendrick’s Highland Son had been scratched from a couple of races during the week, so we can assume that this is the most winnable race for the talented gelding. He returned fairly well when third at this track a fortnight ago behind Garibaldi, and should be better second-up here. Michael Rodd is on fire at the present, so that’s a great booking. He can win this race on his home track.

We’ll be looking at a race-to-race double here, as will local trainer, Stuart Kendrick. Got My Thrills has been racing very well of late, which includes a fourth to Beachbreak at Doomven a fortnight ago. Kyle Wilson-Taylor will ride from barrier 5, and should get a fairly soft time of it in front. He drops to 58kg after the claim, which should enhance his chances of winning.

Michael Nolan’s Patches has been going great lately without winning, having been beating less than a length combined in his last two starts. At Doomben a fortnight ago, he rattled home to run second behind Gin n Bitters who is a very classy type. While the outside alley isn’t ideal, there’s plenty of speed around which will suit his style to get back and run on. The big straight should suit him.
