The Sunshine Coast will host their usual Sunday meeting, but there is a bit more quality in the nine race card due to it being ANZAC Day. Tony Gollan’s three-year-old filly won on debut at this track as a two-year-old and then got beat narrowly in decent races by Minjee, beating home horses like Georgie’s Pride and Dusty Tycoon. She then had almost 12 months off the scene, before returning with a fourth and third placing at Doomben in tougher races. She will love getting back to weaker class and should get favours under Georgina Cartwright from barrier nine.

Next Best – #1 Firebox
Jimmy Orman got the best out of Firebox last start at Eagle Farm, making it a third win from his last five starts for the gelding. Drawn ideally in barrier three, Orman will find the box seat on the Chris Anderson-trained four-year-old and be winning again.

Best Value – #5 Chester’s Angel
Craig Smith’s two-year-old filly was a good winner at Rockhampton last start over the 1050m, and she looked as though she wanted a bit further. Sydney Cup winning hoop Ron Stewart will do the riding from from barrier four which should see her settle handy to the speed for the 1200m event. This is tougher, but she has shown ability early.
