The Sunshine Coast Turf Club is scheduled to host a nine race card on Sunday afternoon on a track rated a Soft 6, with the rail out 4m the entire circuit. HorseBetting.com.au brings the top odds, best bets and free quaddie numbers for the meeting set to get underway at 12:17pm AEST.
Best Bet: #1 Tiger Heart
The Tony Gollan and Ryan Maloney partnership is the one we want to be with when they team up with Tiger Heart on Sunday afternoon. The Better Than Ready gelding could not have been more impressive at Doomben when winning in soft fashion on April 24, when putting in a nice turn of foot and put away his rivals quickly. A similar effort at the Sunshine Coast should see him prove too good in the QTIS 2YO. From barrier eight, expect Maloney to be aggressive in the early going to get him in a positive position, and he should be powering away from his rivals over the final 150m.
Race 5 – Tiger Heart (#1)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1369423_05]
Next Best: #1 Renouf
The Paul Jenkins-trained Renouf was a dominant winner at this track on April 30 over the 1200m, and gets similar conditions to that day as she steps to 1300m on Sunday. James Orman retains the ride, and he barely had to move a muscle in their last start win until the 300m mark and when asked for an effort Renouf skipped clear and put a big space on her rivals in a hurry. If he runs to that performance here on Sunday she will simply be too hot to handle for these fillies and mares.
Race 7 – Renouf (#1)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1369423_07]
Best Value: #2 Conquer The Stars
Craig Cousins saddles up last start Gatton winner Conquer The Stars who looks well suited to step up to BM68 company. He returns to the Sunshine Coast where he has two wins to his name in his career and will look to take up the running from barrier eight. Melea Castle retains the ride aboard the Love Conquers All gelding and with Castle’s 3kg claim we expect a smart on pace performance. He led and put almost four lengths on his rivals on rain-affected going at Gatton on April 23 and with a strong wet track record he looks hard to run down in the opening leg of the quaddie.
