Seven Sunday afternoon races will be run and won at the Sunshine Coast. The track is rated a Soft 5 and the rail is out 9m for the entire circumference of the course, which is where it was on Friday night, so expect leaders to be favoured. Horsebetting.com.au brings you their best bets and quaddie numbers for Sunday’s meeting which will kick off at 1:05pm.
Best Bet – #8 Joy Too All
David Vandyke saddles up four-year-old mare Joy Too All who will be looking to make it three straight wins. The All Too Hard mare was backed off the map here on April 12th and duly saluted over 1200m. Up to 1300m on Sunday should suit, especially given the way she extended late last time out. Steph Thornton will do the steering from barrier five, and she drops 2kg off her last start victory which gets her right in this. Expect her to settle midfield and finish over the top of them.
Three-year-old filly Lady Shanghai started off her career finishing 12th of 13 in two subsequent races over this track and distance over the Spring of 2020, but she turned that around at Gatton first-up on April 3rd. In her first two starts, she was ridden out the back, but since changing trainer to Lindsay Gough, she was ridden forward and brained her rivals over the 1100m. The Nicconi filly will appreciate sting out of the ground, and if the track advantages those on speed like we expect it to, she should get all of the favours in front under Tiff Brooker. This is tougher, but barrier three gives her few excuses.
