Alan Jones saddles up his four start maiden in what is a very winnable race to get his first win in. In just his four starts, he’s finished behind some handy types, including Kisukano, Super Effort and Weona Smartone. With three seconds to his name, the Foxwedge colt has been unlucky to not have a win yet, going down on two occasions by under two lengths. He’ll be well and truly within striking distance under the talented Sean Cormack from barrier one. He drops two kilograms in weight and should be winning here.

Michael Costa’s last start winner Stoked finds himself in a position to make it two in a row in a fillies & mares Benchmark 68. From barrier three, Tegan Harrison will go forward on the mare and look to make every post a winner on the big Sunny Coast track. The saying that ‘mares in form’ is a fantastic betting angle shines through here, with the 6yo not missing the top four in her last four starts, and has only missed the place once in her last eight runs. She can be winning this and making it win number four.

Kacy Fogden’s Shaka Rock presents as a fantastic each way proposition in the fifth race at around the $5 mark. Up to 1400m and down in weight will suit the gelding who is now second up after running well at Eagle Farm last time out. He has won two from five and boasts good form around Master Jamie, Profit and Ballistic Boy. Barrier 6 will see Andrew Mallyon land in a midfield spot and be chiming in at the business end. He looks Saturday class and can be making it win number three at start number 6.
