Sunday tips for Sunshine Coast with form and odds
SUNSHINE COAST is always a good place to punt.
There’s seven races on the card this Sunday, January 14, and we have free tips, form and odds for the entire card.
Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1600m)

Captain’s Legend improved nicely last start to finish fourth after running seventh on debut. The Chris Anderson-trained runner looks a good chance of going better here.

Make a Ruler has won three of its five starts this campaign and the other two runs were placings. That’s some impressive consistency and the inside draw is only going to make it harder for its rivals to beat him.

Race 3 – Maiden Plate (1000m)

Makes You Think is on debut for Steven O’dea after winning a trial at Deagon. The So You think three-year-old is bred to be better than most of these and it gets the inside draw to its advantage.

Race 4 – C2 Handicap (1000m)

Tay Swift looked above average earlier in its career, but this grade should nicely. The Liam Birchley-trained runner is weighted well for this and we’re predicting a much better performance here.

Race 5 – C1 Handicap (1600m)

Cosgrove was no match for them at Sunshine Coast last start, but its form prior included a fourth behind I Am Impinge. This is a much easier target and it should fire up.

Race 6 – B65 Handicap (1400m)

Izzah was a stylish last start winner and that form could continue on here. The five-year-old has won three from 17 starts and this could be number four with some luck in running from barrier 10.

Race 7 – R65 Handicap (1400m)

Last Armageddon is a nice type at this level and it has already won and placed this campaign. The four-year-old looks a huge threat and bookmakers will likely have it short in the betting.
