In preparation for the highly anticipated Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) on March 23, co-trainer Adrian Bott expresses confidence in Storm Boy’s readiness as he gears up for the Group 2 Skyline Stakes (1200m) this Saturday.

Storm Boy, a promising son of Justify, boasts an unblemished record in his three starts, securing victories in the Group 3 BJ McLachlan Stakes (1200m) and the Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m).

Bott, who collaborates with Gai Waterhouse in the training partnership, emphasises the significance of the upcoming 1200-metre race in conditioning Storm Boy for the Golden Slipper.

“Obviously, it is an important race for him. It’s a 1200-metre race that will really condition him for that Slipper<' said Bott. “He’s then got the three weeks in between runs, which is the pattern we followed into the Magic Millions with him." Acknowledging Storm Boy's ability to handle high-pressure situations, Bott appreciates the colt's effortless performance. "Everything he does he seems to do it effortlessly, he seems to do it well within himself and hopefully he has something up his sleeve.” Horse racing bookmakers have Storm Boy as a -384.62 favourite for the Skyline Stakes.
