Mr Warbucks wasn’t far away on debut at Sale behind Rosewedge and that form should hold up nicely here.

Trained by Cindy Alderson, the three-year-old looks to have a nice future and the inside draw helps.

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1100m)

Another McCloud hasn’t come close to beating the winners in its two starts to date, but he has been running good times and that’s a positive.

Luke Oliver lines up the son of Master of Design and it should be competitive in this maiden field.

Race 2 tip: Another McCloud to win at

Race 3 – Maiden Plate (1600m)

Careering Away hasn’t quite been doing that throughout its career, but the win looks close.

It has placed at its last three starts, which included a last start second and this looks an ideal target for the three-year-old.

Race 3 tip: Careering Away to win at

Race 4 – BM64 Handicap (1100m)

Miss Mo gets the weight advantage over Miss Iano and that could be enough to see it home.

The Charlotte Littlefield-trained mare has been around the mark in all four career starts and it’s good to see Ben Allen take the ride.

Race 4 tip: Miss Mo to win at

Race 5 – R58 Handicap (2100m)

Gran Tryphena doesn’t enjoy winning, but it has strong each way claims here.

This field is about as bad as you will see throughout the Christmas period and punters should get nice odds for the one-time winner from 11 starts.

Race 5 tip: Gran Tryphena to win at

Race 6 – R58 Handicap (1700m)

Hell of a Mess has its hoof on the till after consecutive second placings this time in.

The consistent six-year-old was a winner third-up last campaign in this situation and that bodes well for punters here.

Race 6 tip: Hell of a Mess to win at

Race 7 – R58 Handicap (1100m)

Warners Landing was a winner on debut and although it hasn’t shown up since, the talent is there.

The inside draw is ideal and it could show them a clean pair of heels.

Race 7 tip: Warners Lane to win at
