Sneaky Glance on trial for Grafton Guineas and international sale

Sneaky Glance
Sneaky Glance is on trial at Doomben this Wednesday for the Grafton Guineas and a possible international sale

SNEAKY Glance lines up in the Gallopers Sports Club Handicap at Doomben on Wednesday where it’s on trial for the Grafton Guineas next month.

The three-year-old has won consecutive races leading into the race where it’s currently the $1.95 favourite at Sportsbet.com.au and a potential overseas sale could be on the cards.

Trainer Toby Edmonds stated the gelding, which is owned by Segenhoe Thoroughbreds, could be sold on to overseas interests if everything goes to plan later this season.

“He’s had a pretty light preparation, so he’ll run in the Grafton Guineas then we’ll send him out for a break,” Edmonds said.

“He could be sold off to either Singapore, Macau or Hong Kong maybe, so we might sell him on.”

Edmonds primary sights will be set on the Grafton Guineas next month, having already qualified the son of Husson via its stellar prelude victory.

“He’s done really well (since winning the Prelude). He has this run for the preparation down there,” Edmonds said, who had nominated Sneaky Glance last week at the Gold Coast.

“He was in on Sunday at the Gold Coast, but we just thought we’d go out to the mile.”

Edmonds said the performance of Sneaky Glance at Doomben won’t determine whether they push on to Grafton for the $50,000 feature.

“He’ll go to Grafton regardless seeing as he’s already qualified,” Edmonds said. “He won the Prelude so that gets him into the race.
