See You In Heaven for Richard & Chantelle Jolly and Craig Williams have taken out the Group 2 Sandown Guineas over 1600m at Caulfield.

After jumping from barrier 11, Williams was able to cross the front of the field and sit outside the leader, Atmosphere, where they set a moderate tempo and ultimately allowed the winner to kick away in the final 200 metres.

Punters launched into the winner late, as she was backed into favouritism, jumping at $4.20 with online bookmakers, while the second favourite, The Fortune Teller, finished in second place.

Sandown Guineas Replay

Richard & Chantelle Jolly have brought their solid winning form over from South Australia with them and they have now taken out one of the last Group races during the Victorian Spring Carnival.

“It was good emotions for the owners after a luckless run on Oaks Day.”

Richard Jolly spoke post-race about how emotional this win is for the owners after this girl had no luck in the Listed Desirable Stakes on Oaks Day at Flemington last start.

“It was the first time at the mile, so that answered a few questions, and now we can kinda plan the autumn for her.

“We may even look at an Oaks with her in the autumn.

“She hasn’t had a lot of luck this time in, and she has done a good job.”

Craig Williams has now ridden three winners on Zipping Classic Day, adding the Sandown Guineas to his record for the day.

“I had a really nice filly that Richard & Chantelle Jolly were happy with.”

Williams was very confident that his filly would get the job done after speaking to the Jolly’s before the race.

“I liked the fact that we could be a lot closer in the running after she began a lot better and a lot cleaner.

“It’s very exciting to see where she will progress coming into next year.”
