Scone Friday Races Best Bets & Horse Betting Tips
Friday horse racing in New South Wales heads to Scone for eight races. The track is rated a Good 4 and the rail is in the true position. Race one jumps at 1:35pm AEDT.
Paul Messara’s Temple One has started near favourite in his last two races in Highway races in town. He now drops back to country races and looks well in this race over 1600m. Christian Reith takes the ride and will hope to partner the horse to another victory in this. Barrier nine should suit the colt and allow him to settle midfield and storm home over the top of them in the big straight. There was $3.00 available earlier.

Todd Howlett and Grant Buckley combine in the last with last start winner, Toto. The Manhattan Rain gelding has won two from seven and has a third behind The Kosciusko winner, It’s Me; which looks superior form for this. He placed at Scone on debut at his only start at the track, and he should get every chance to go one better here. From the inside alley, Buckley will just sit behind the speed and pull away to prove too strong for favourite punters in the get out stakes.

Theo Legion lines up in his fourth career start after running fourth to the very talented Falcon last start at Gosford. This race looks much easier, and onto the bigger track and up in trip to 1300m looks to suit well. Clayton Gallagher hops aboard for the first time which is a positive booking in our opinion as he has been riding well of late with seven wins from his last 50 rides. He drops half a kilo which should suit him to be up on the speed and be strong late.
