Race 1 – Benchmark 70 (1400m)

Heptagon is the best elect going into this race. Across it’s last three races the horse has registered a win and two third placings, and conditions favour here for another strong performance. The Price runner drops back in grade here, which is a big factor.

Race 1 tip: Heptagon to win ($1.85 at Neds)

Race 2 – Benchmark 84 (3000m)

Our Yangtze was great last time out over this distance and grading at Moonee Valley, winning by three lengths. The horse gets penalised 1kg on that performance which shouldn’t be enough to deter punters here. Our Yangtze wins again.

Race 2 tip: Our Yangtze to win ($2.10 at William Hill)

Race 3 – Benchmark 64 (1800m)

All Hard Wood didn’t do a lot right last-start, but still managed to finish within a length and a half of the winner on February 28 at this grading. The horse steps up slightly in distance here and with a much more balanced run in transit it can deliver a second win from three starts.

Race 3 tip: All Hard Wood to win ($5.50 at Sportsbet)

Race 4 – Benchmark 64 (1300m)

Guess Again won well on debut at Kyneton on February 21 and we think it is poised to go back-to-back. Overcoming the wide barrier will be pivotal but if it gets across smoothly the Luke Oliver-trained filly will be hard to beat.

Race 4 tip: Guess Again to win ($12 at Sportsbet)

Race 5 – Benchmark 70 (1600m)

Reflectivity is seeking a hat-trick and looks as good a chance as any. After breaking the maiden at Kembla the horse went on to record a narrow win at the Valley at benchmark 643 level. The Hawkes runner retains the weight in carried to victory there.

Race 5 tip: Reflectivity to win ($15 at William Hill)

Race 6 – Benchmark 70 (1600m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182715_06]

Approved Anger has progressed across its two return runs and looks to peak third-up here. The horse has a third-up win in the past and was only three parts of a length away from winning on March 2.

Race 6 tip: Approved Anger to win ($6.50 at Neds)

Race 7 – Benchmark 70 (1000m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182715_07]

Weekend Escape has won at both attempts in its career and looks well placed to win a third-straight race. The horse comes into this race on the back of a strong trial win and it has a great record on synthetic tracks.

Race 7 tip: Weekend Escape to win ($10 at Crownbet)

Race 8 – Benchmark 70 (1000m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182715_08]

Princeton Spirit is unbeaten across three career runs and looms as a strong chance in the finale. The four-year-old gelding returns after a five month break and will be highly competitive at a rock-solid price.

Race 8 tip: Princeton Spirit to win ($5 at Ladbrokes)
