Race 1 – Benchmark 64 (1600m)

Viking Raid was a strong last-start winner and we think it can go on with the job here. The Godolphin runner draws perfectly here and will be hard to beat.

Race 1 tip: Viking Raid to win ($3.40 at Neds)

Race 2 – Maiden (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183038_02]

Jacky Paper is close to a win. In three of its four career race starts the horse has finished second, highlighting how good the horse has been without breaking through. This appears within its grasp.

Race 2 tip: Jacky Paper to win ($8.50 at William Hill)

Race 3 – Benchmark 78 (1400m)

Uptown Gal is the horse to beat here. The filly resumed in good style at Cranbourne on March 9, winning by over two lengths, and there’s no reason to think it cannot go back-to-back.

Race 3 tip: Uptown Gal to win ($6.50 at Sportsbet)

Race 4 – Benchmark 78 (2400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183038_04]

After recording back-to-back wins Fine Embers jumps in grade. We can’t deny the form of a horse that has won two races by a combined total of just under four lengths and we’re backing Fine Embers in.

Race 4 tip: Fine Embers to win ($11 at Sportsbet)

Race 5 – Benchmark 64 (1000m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183038_05]

Kirk Ella has a first-up win in the past and we think it can add a second success at a third attempt. Following a poor showing on debut, the mare has yet to miss a placing. We think Kirk Ella will be right in the frame here.

Race 5 tip: Kirk Ella to win ($4.80 at William Hill)

Race 6 – Benchmark 64 (1000m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183038_06]

William Thomas is a promising type that should handle this race easily. The horse won on debut before placing third in an open handicap event at Flemington. This is a huge drop in class and we think it will be too good.

Race 6 tip: William Thomas to win ($2.65 at Neds)

Race 7 – Benchmark 70 (1700m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183038_07]

Sensation Ally is a consistent type that always gives its all. Across its last three starts the horse has recorded a win and placed a further two times. The place price is hard to pass up.

Race 7 tip: Sensation Ally to place ($2.70 at Crownbet)

Race 8 – Benchmark 64 (1300m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183038_08]

Thunder Cloud was disappointing upon resumption on March 7 but we think it can improve on that. The gelding has a second-up placing in the past and we believe the four-year-old will be much fitter for that hit out.

Race 8 tip: Thunder Cloud to win ($13 at Neds)
