Sale Races Betting Preview – February 12, 2021
An eight-race card is set down for decision at Sale on Friday afternoon as the track hosts the first of two meetings in Victoria on Friday. A fair few showers are forecast for Friday afternoon, so we may see a downgrade but no worse than a Soft 5 or 6. With the rail in the true position for the entire circuit, we should see a fair day of racing. The first at Sale will jump at 1:30pm AEDT.
Best Bet: Perfect World
It is hard to imagine that the Anthony Freedman-trained Perfect World is still a maiden, as she now has four runner-up performances without breaking through. The filly is a get-back-and-run-on type of galloper and will need to be at her best having drawn the car park. She was last seen over the 1200m at Sale and seemingly found that a touch too sharp when doing her best work late through the line to go down by a neck. The extra 200m here and the benefit of coming in second up should help her cause. It looks to be perfect setup for the three-year-old, as a genuine tempo should tee her up for a swooping run from the back of the field.

Next Best: Kingstar Amber
Shane Nichols and Billy Egan combine with Kingstar Amber in the third leg of the Sale quaddie. The four-year-old mare has returned with consecutive runner-up performances, more notably two starts back when chasing home Heavenly Bridges, who has since gone on to win in town. With speed drawn to her outside, Kingstar Amber should get a cart across to sit just off the leaders’ heels. She will take a power of holding out when the opportunity arises at the top of the straight.
Race 7 – Kingstar Amber (#4)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1361254_07]
Best Value: Fintona Queen
In the second leg of the Sale quaddie, Fintona Queen will look to go one better than her narrow runner-up finish at Mornington on January 22. Having drawn the middle of the field, she should settle in a prominent position under Ben Allen. Her win two starts back over the Mornington 1500m indicated she will handle the staying trip, so the step up to 2200m looks ideal fourth up.
Race 6 – Fintona Queen (#11)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1361254_06]
