This Price and Kent trained gelding had an impressive 2YO preparation when falling to the impressive duo of Flying Award and Khoekhoe, if he brings the form that saw him beaten under half a length by Flying Award it should be enough to beat this lot and break his maiden tag. Infinite Matrix (#9) is an obvious danger after just missing in his debut outing at Geelong

After two runner up performances to begin his campaign the Matt Cumani trained galloper seems well placed to break her maiden at start 7. In both starts this campaign she has been beaten by under a length and will take a power of beating in this race. Fred Kersley retains the ride and from barrier 4 will look to settle just off the pace and will look to come around the leaders at the turn and prove to strong for this field in the late stages.

Tony & Calvin McEvoy send this 4YO Gelding around in quite a competitive maiden here and is over the odds at $10.00 after a competitive first up campaign. Has returned with a solid jump out and with Luke Currie on board goes around at backable odds, considering the field he is going up against. Would suggest a nice each way play.

No prizes for picking Tango Gold, but with main danger Ready To Indulge already scratched, this Price and Kent galloper looks poised to break her maiden after consecutive runner up performances at Warrnambool to impressive types. Would expect to see this mare go around at about $1.40 on race day so be quick if you see better odds.

The opening leg of the quaddie at Casterton sees the perennial bridesmaid Astro Castro go around. Is back on a track with the sting out of the ground and will lead this field up and provide a good sight and hopefully can kick away at the top of the straight and bring up his first win since 2018. The 8YO gelding is a horse to take on complete trust, as he doesn’t win out of turn.

Daniel Bowman is known for placing his first starters in the right races. This look like another one of those times and with Declan Bates on board and from barrier four you’ll see this 3YO filly up on the pace, most likely lead and prove a touch to hard to catch if her recent jump outs are anything to go by.
