When Wednesday, April 7, 2021
First Race 1:05pm AEST

Eight races are set to be run and won on Wednesday afternoon at Sale, and HorseBetting.com.au has you covered with the best bets and quaddie picks for the meeting. The track has surprisingly come up a Good 3, with the rail out 3m the entire circuit, so expect there to be plenty of fast-run races throughout the day. Racing is set to get underway at 1:05pm AEST.

Best Bet: Arroance

We will be looking to get the Sale card off to a winning chance when the Mark Webb-trained Arroance will look to go one better than her last-start second at Cranbourne on March 26. The stable were confident heading into that race, and the three-year-old filly meets a maiden here which is no stronger than what she contested last time out. From barrier three under Jye McNeil, expect her to take up the running and go from barrier to box to break her maiden at start six.

Best BetRace 1 – Arroance (#8) $2.40 with Sportsbet

Next Best: Mr Roger

Richard Laming will leg up Jye McNeil on Mr Roger, who is looking to build on his two placings in as many runs this campaign. Having won third up at 1600m during his last campaign, the assignment at Sale over the 1728m looks the perfect recipe for success. Mr Roger and eventual winner Dirt On Harry put four lengths on their closest rival at Pakenham last time out, and a repeat performance here should see the Swiss Ace gelding fighting out the finish.

Next BestRace 6 – Mr Roger (#5) $4.40 with Sportsbet

Best Value: Green Ivy

In the third leg of the Sale quaddie, the Ken Keys-trained Green Ivy has the opportunity to make it consecutive wins on the back of an impressive victory at Moonee Valley on March 19. We will be hoping it is a massive day for Jye McNeil, who can bag himself a treble if our selections come up. Having shown plenty in the win over 2040m, we expect the step up to 2219m should not hinder Green Ivy’s chances, especially if the field looks to up the tempo a fair way out from home given the way that he won at Moonee Valley.

Best ValueRace 7 – Green Ivy (#2) $7 with Sportsbet
