Rosehill racing free odds, form and tips for Saturday, 15 July

Rosehill racing tips

ROSEHILL is the venue for our weekend betting guide, which is headlined by the ATC Winter Stakes.

We have had a fantastic week on the tip, which included picking five winners from the Canterbury card on Wednesday, so we head to the picturesque racecourse in Sydney full of confidence.

Crownbet is our selected bookmaker for Rosehill on Saturday, which continues to run their magnificent first deposit bonus for all new punters. New clients can get up to 150 per cent of their first deposit matched in bonus bets, up to $600.

This means if you put in $400 you have $1000 straight off the bat in the punting kitty.

Race 1 – #TheRaces Handicap (1400m)

Chris Waller-trained Calculated is looking to conitnue on from its brilliant maiden victory last week. In just its second race start the colt justified the short odds to win by a head. We are hoping for another strong performance on Saturday.

Fellow star colt Siege Of Quebec is the next best option in the market. The unbeaten two-year-old comes out of a Beaumount maiden straight into city grade, but the Fastnet Rock progeny should have no issues addressing the step up in class.

Race 1 tip: Calculated to win ($2.60) at Crownbet.com.au

Race 2 – Spring Hospitality @ The ATC BM64 (1350m)

In an incredibly even field confronts punters in the second race of the day.

Insensata is the only last-start winner in this field and will be hard to hold out under these conditions. The filly has won four races from 11 starts and is in arguably the form of its career. It will be the horse to beat.

Hefty Heights is second up on Saturday where it has won previously in the past. The mare resumed well at Rosehill at the beginning of the month, finishing third in a ten runner field and the five-year-old looks to have plenty of improvement in it from that performance.

Race 2 tip: Hefty Heights to win (+450) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 3 – TAB Highway Handicap Class Two (1100m)

Three-year-old filly Star Aspiration has been discounted in the market by punters at the $9.50 mark via Crownbet.com.au, but its form suggests its more than capable of taking this race out. The filly has not missed a placing in its last three starts and was less than a length away from the winner on its benchmark 60 debut three-weeks ago. It is a strong winning hope.

Matthew Dale runner Surprise Party is looking maintain a strong run of form which has seen it win twice from its three race starts. Last time out over the sprint journey the filly won comfortably at class one level and will look to continue that into Saturday.

Race 3 tip: Star Aspiration ($9.50) at Crownbet.com.au

Race 4 – Pro Rata ATC Membership BM74 (1800m)

Walk The Streets brings in what could very well be the best form of this race. In four consecutive races the horse has finished inside the top-three and all of those defeats have added up to just under over a length in margin. The horse is never too far away and should be breaking through again soon.

Live To Dream is a filly that may have the form to rival the chief market elect. The Bjorn Baker runner has never finished outside the top two in its five race career. The only query here is barrier 15, but any luck from the wide draw will see the three-year-old taking this race out.
Race 4 tip: Live To Dream (+750) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 5 – The Everest Is Coming BM75 (1200m)

King Darci has been racing in good style leading into this race and the topweight looms as one of the main chances in the fifth race on the card. At the beginning of the month at Rosehill the gelding finished within two lengths of the eventual winner upon resumption from a six month lay off and it is sure to improve following that strong showing.

Resuming four-year-old Sonic Swish is looking to make an impression first up for Waller with Hugh Bowman in the saddle. The horse has missed the placings just once from four first up attempts and will come into the race fit and raring to go.

Race 5 tip: King Darci ($6.50) at Crownbet.com.au

Race 6 – Winning Post Restaurant BM93 (1200m)

Sir Plush is the clear standout in this field. As a short-priced favourite at the beginning of the month the horse failed to win after Calanda streaked away, but the class of the animal cannot be denied. The four-year-old is third up and has previously won at this stage in its preparation.

Bowman takes the ride on Kudero, which is hoping to recapture its best form after a pair of back-to-back lacklustre runs. The six-year-old gets a chance to return to a distance where it has won four times previously and will be hard to hold out if it can get away cleanly from an inside gate.

Race 6 tip: Kudero to place (+300) at Crownbet.com.au

Race 7 – ATC Winter Stakes (1400m)

The feature event of the day at Rosehill looks to be a race in two.

Burning Passion is looking to make it a hattrick of wins after two extremely strong performances. The five-year-old has won over both the course and the distance at Rosehill so another win is well within the horse’s grasp.

The main challenger to the Mark Newnham horse is Gold Symphony. The topweight here is looking to go back-to-back after a dominant win at Rosehill two-weeks ago and while barrier 12 is a slight concern, Hugh Bowman on board gives punters confidence that he will find the right path.

Race 7 tip: Gold Symphony ($5) to win at Crownbet.com.au

Race 8 – Schweppes BM78 (2000m)

Collateral is the classiest runner in the seventh race on the card and should be betting this lot quite easily. We are forgiving the fourth placing at Warwick Farm on July 8, and we are backing the five-year-old to make it five wins from six starts.

The main competitor to our elect is Fantasize, which jumps from the car park on Saturday. The Snowden runner has won a quarter of the races it has taken part in. Barrier 15 is a worry but if it slots in nicely without expending too much energy it will be right in the mix come the post.

Race 8 tip: Collateral ($4.60) to win at Crownbet.com.au

Race 9 – TAB.com.au BM78 (1400m)

Godolphin runner Flow has shown impressive racing form leading into the final event on the huge Rosehill card and set to continue to push for victory. The Street Cry gelding hammered the field two starts ago at Kembla then finished a respectable third in the Sunshine Coast Guineas.

Queen Misty is a runner that can surprise at odds. The five-year-old comes into the race as a double figure elect, but comes into this race third up after strong performances back-to-back. The concern for the horse will be finding a slot given it has no early speed, but a good run in transit could see it salute and return a mammoth price.
Race 9 tip: Queen Misty ($10) to win at Crownbet.com.au
