Rosehill horse racing tips & quaddie picks | Saturday, July 19

| What | Winter Challenge Day 2025 |
| Where | Rosehill Gardens Racecourse – James Ruse Dr, Rosehill NSW 2142 |
| When | Saturday, July 19, 2025 |
| First Race | 11:15am AEST |
Rosehill Gardens is the destination for metro racing in NSW this Saturday, with a bumper 10-part program set for decision. The rail is in the true position all the way around, and although the surface was rated a Soft 5 at the time of acceptances, sunny skies leading into the weekend should mean an upgrade into the Good range. The opening race at Rosehill is scheduled to get underway at 11:15am local time.
Winter Challenge Tip: Robusto
The Bjorn Baker-trained Robusto was a good thing licked in the Listed Winter Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on July 7. The son of Churchill suffered major interference but still picked himself up off the canvas in the final furlong, storming into a second-place finish. The five-year-old will strip fitter for that effort, and provided the breaks fall his way in the $200,000 Winter Challenge, Robusto should have no issues taking care of this lot.

Race 9 –
#1 Robusto (4)
5yo Gelding | T: Bjorn Baker | J: Joshua Parr (60kg)
Best Bet at Rosehill: Tuileries
Tuileries returns after a 183-day spell and appears primed for a first-up assault. The daughter of So You Think progressed nicely last preparation, producing two wins across three starts before being tipped out for spell. Her two trials leading into this suggest she is returning in supreme order, and provided Tom Sherry can overcome barrier 10, expect Tuileries to justify favouritism with horse racing bookmakers.

Race 6 –
#7 Tuileries (10)
3yo Filly | T: Peter Snowden | J: Tom Sherry (56kg)
Next Best at Rosehill: Highway Strip
Highway Strip returns after 175 days off the scene and brings a formidable record into this Class 2 Highway. The Danny Williams-trained gelding closed on the heels of Clear Thinking on January 25, and with that galloper proving competitive in stakes company since, the form jumps off the page compared to some key rivals. He is yet to miss the frame across his five starts, and despite giving away race-day fitness, Highway Strip should still prove too classy in this grade.

Race 3 –
#2 Highway Strip (5)
3yo Gelding | T: Danny Williams | J: Joshua Parr (60.5kg)
Best Value at Rosehill: Royal Air Force
Royal Air Force was below average on debut at Canterbury on February 21 but had clear excuses. The son of Wootton Bassett sat four wide without cover towards the rear of the field and suffered a setback post-race, with the Chris Waller camp electing to send the two-year-old colt to the paddock. He looks to have bounced back well with two impressive barrier trials leading into this, and with an economical run from gate seven, Royal Air Force can give this a real shake at the $11 quote with Picklebet.

Race 1 –
#7 Royal Air Force (7)
2yo Colt | T: Chris Waller | J: Zac Lloyd (56.5kg)
