Brad Rawiller has failed to get a 14-meeting careless riding ban reduced on appeal.

Rawiller was suspended after pleading guilty to careless riding aboard Articus in last Thursday’s Moe Cup.

The Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Monday dismissed his appeal against the severity of the ban.

Rawiller’s suspension began after Saturday’s Caulfield Cup meeting and he can resume riding at the Moonee Valley night meeting on Friday week.

It means he misses the next two city meetings – Friday night’s Group One Manikato Stakes meeting at Moonee Valley and the Cox Plate meeting at the same track on Saturday.

He will also miss Geelong Cup day on Wednesday and the Bendigo Cup a week later..
