Tuesday, we meet again! We have a love hate relationship, yet you turn up and we still find a reason to load up into a maiden at Wagga or Benalla! Can you blame us, we just love a punt! Throw in a beer at the pub after work, and a quick look during our lunch break and it’s not too bad of a day! However, it’s still Tuesday!

When this piece of footage came across our desk we couldn’t help but have a laugh! The horse leading the field up at the time of the screen recording was Blason D’or in Race 1 at Pau on Monday morning AEDT. However the jockey Clement Lefebvre clearly had had enough and opted to just jump off his mount with the race well and truly up for grabs! We’ve done our dough in many different ways, whether it’s in the stewards room, by disqualification or just backing an absolute donkey. However, we can honestly say we have never lost a bet because a jockey has clearly just jumped off his mount. Turn it up Clement!!

With the Magic Millions being run and won on the Gold Coast on the weekend, plenty of interested onlookers will take note of the Karaka Millions race day in New Zealand at Ellerslie on Saturday coming. However, Oppie Bosson will not get a chance of doing something quite unbelievable. Winning five straight versions of the Karaka Millions 2YO race. Having won the past four aboard Melody Belle, Avantage, Probabeel and Cool Aza Beek last year, the star jockey will be on the sidelines this weekend having failed to overturn a suspension from New Year’s Day which saw him charged twice with reckless riding! Naughty boy Oppie!!

Group 1 winning superstar Mystic Journey is poised to make her return to racing on Wednesday night at Launceston in the Ladbrokes Stakes. The Tasmanian legend is poised to go around at Winx odds of $1.10 in the six horse field and will look to start a campaign which has an end goal of a wildcard run in the All Star Mile. Luke Currie is headed over to Tassie on Wednesday to take up the ride on ‘Betty’ and with a big Autumn on the agenda who can blame the gun hoop? We will not be taking the $1.10 ourselves despite the temptation of a 10% profit, but we’ll be cheering the cult figure home!
