Best Bet at Pukekohe – Devastate
Devastate resumed from a spell last start to finish third of eight runners when sent out as the favourite over 1400m. He led early and held that position until headed with 200m to run but fought on well to the line. He will strip a lot fitter today and won second-up in his last prep. Michael McNab remains in the saddle and although drawn the widest in the field, on the heavy track that should help his winning chances.
