Race 1 – Benchmark 73 (1506m)

Hippy High Ho comes into this race on the back of a strong win at Taree and gets the perfect race to go back-to-back. The horse returns to a distance where it has won three of its six career starts, which bodes well for a quality run.

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1812m)

Serenade Sunset has been consistent over its last six races without breaking through. On four of those runs the horse has finished second, highlighting just how close it has gotten to breaking the tag. Serenade Sunset will be winning sooner rather than later and we believe it’ll be Thursday.

Race 3 – Maiden (1206m)

My Lucky Eagle has placed third in back-to-back events since resuming on December 15 and we believe it is ready to win. The horse has placed third-up previously and its second-up run was a vast improvement on the resumption.

Race 4 – Maiden (1206m)

Natural Image has been right around the mark in its last five runs and has the ability to take this race out. The horse steps up slightly in distance which has been an unsuccessful trip for it in the past, but the daughter of Where’s That Tiger is a much more mature runner.

Race 5 – Class 1 Handicap (1206m)

Lucciola Belle is an extremely promising galloper that looks well suited here. The horse missed out on debut by a nose before breaking the maiden the next start. This mare loves running fresh and it will benefit greatly from the three months away from the track.

Race 6 – Benchmark 55 (2012m)

Time To Rock gets the perfect race here to back up its last-start win at benchmark 55 level. The horse gets a 3kg penalty in the weights but the speedy beginner gets the ideal gate and will take a world of catching.

Race 7 – Benchmark 53 (1506m)

Commandatore has made great progression across its last two runs and will benefit from the slight drop back in grade. The horse has placed in back-to-back events leading into this one and has no issues carrying 60+kg.

Race 8 – Class 2 Handicap (1006m)

Patriot loves it fresh and will be difficult to beat here. The horse returns after a month away from the track and will be raring to go in what looks like a very winnable race.
