It is the second meeting of the two day Easter carnival at Oakbank where a nine race card is set down for judgement on Saturday afternoon. The Listed Hills Railway Stakes, the Onkaparinga Cup and the Great Eastern Steeple are drawcard events. The track is rated a Soft 5, but with a favourable forecast we should be racing on a Good 4 come the first race and with the rail in the true position throughout we expect a cracking day of racing. Here are our free Oakbank tips with racing set to get underway from 12:06pm ACDT.
Best Bet: Toff Love
The David Jolly-trained Toff Love has been competitive in tougher races than what he faces here at Oakbank, having been competitive in BM82 and BM78 company. The step back to a BM72 at 1100m looks ideal for the get-back and run-on tactic that Toff Love to engage in. Having had five runs at 1100m he has only missed the money on one occasion, and having won at the distance already suggests he will be hard to hold out. His main market rival Stage Front will be up on speed throughout, but expect Toff Love to relish the genuine tempo and be finishing over the top of them. He is paying $3.20 with the best racing bookmakers.

Next Best: Sisstar
The Tony McEvoy-trained Sisstar flew first up when breaking the track record for the Moonee Valley 955m when barging her way clear and doing her best work late. Heading back over the border to Oakbank, the Zoustar mare will appreciate stepping up to the 1100m second up from a spell. Having won twice already over 1100m she should appreciate the red hot tempo as she showed on March 19 at The Valley, and from barrier seven she looks to be the one with the sharpest turn of foot in the field. There will be a slight rise in grade from a BM90 to the Listed Hills Railway Stakes, but we expect Sisstar to make it three wins from three starts.
Race 7 – Sisstar (#2)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1365124_07]
Best Value: Betta Eddie
The Darren Magro-trained Betta Eddie has been racing in fine form over at Port Lincoln and was running home nicely at Morphettville to miss the minor money on March 20. The son of Barbados is the only runner in the race to have run at Oakbank in his career, and he won in impressive fashion on January 20 over the 1050m. Having run home encouragingly in his previous starts over 1200m it suggests he will handle the 1400m and with Jess Eaton sticking on board, expect Betta Eddie to be charging home late.
