Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace have Capri Lane in on Tuesday, and he looks extremely hard to beat. The four-year-old gelding won by four lengths at Canberra last start as favourite in an all-the-way display. Punters can expect a similar showing to last start, with the son of Proisir likely to go straight to the front from barrier five. Even under the big weight, he should be too good again.

Next Best: Deepstar
Deepstar was a dominant all-the-way winner at this track and trip on April 4, so we are confident she can repeat that effort. The Deep Field filly has won her past two starts and is now shooting for three straight in this 1100m Benchmark 58. While barrier 10 is a slight concern, she should be able to cross to find the lead and complete the hat-trick of wins.

Best Value: Kimberley Rain
Three-year-old filly Kimberley Rain has had just the four career starts for two minor placings, including a third on debut to the talented Vulpine. The daughter of Wandjina also has a six-length defeat to Love Tap, who went on to win a Group 3 over the spring and started favourite in the Spring Champion Stakes. She had a nice trial earlier in the month, which should have her wound up for this. The wide alley is some concern, but Kathy O’Hara can offset that with a positive ride.
