Race 1 – Class 2 Handicap (1200m)

Frogmarch only narrowly missed out on recording a hat-trick on March 13 and resumes on Thursday as an excellent winning hope. The horse drops an enormous amount of weight and jumps from gate two. It all bodes well for a strong run on Newcastle.

Race 1 tip: Frogmarch to win at Neds

Race 2 – Maiden Handicap (1200m)

Godolphin runner Evict was poor on debut at Randwick, but this race is a much easier proposition. The Sepoy three-year-old has trialed well leading back into this resumption and we think the gelding will be hard to hold out here.

Race 2 tip: Evict to win ($2.60 at William Hill)

Race 3 – Maiden (1300m)

If connections decide to run Bondi at Newcastle it will be incredibly hard to beat. The horse has placed three of four times and gets a rock bottom weight and a good gate.

Race 3 tip: Bondi to win ($1.80 at Sportsbet)

Race 4 – Maiden Handicap (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183061_04]

Cummings runner Singa Glory will spear out and attempt to lead this from the front. On both race dates the horse has finished second, narrowly missing out by a nose on debut. This appears within Singa Glory’s grasp.

Race 4 tip: Singa Glory to win ($2.65 at Sportsbet)

Race 5 – Maiden Plate (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183061_05]

Rubble trialed well leading into its debut but it has failed to place in two career starts. We’re still confident the Fastnet Rock colt can turn it around and we’re backing it in for a cheeky run at huge odds.

Race 5 tip: Rubble to win ($31 at William Hill)

Race 6 – Class 2 Handicap (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183061_06]

Progressive type Eschara is hunting a hat-trick and is well placed to deliver. The galloper broke the maiden two starts back before recording a strong BM62 victory on March 1. The Godolphin runner is a strong chance to make it three wins from six attempts.

Race 6 tip: Eschara to win ($4 at Neds)

Race 7 – Class 1 Handicap (1300m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183061_07]

Godolphin runner Schubert is first-up after a seven month break. The gelding has a win and a second placing from two resuming attempts and has two trials coming into this event. Schubert should be right in the frame.

Race 7 tip: Schubert to win ($2.05 at Crownbet)

Race 8 – Benchmark 70 (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1183061_08]

Macquarie Magic is second-up here after a fourth-placed finish at Wyong on February 20. The horse will be much fitter for that run and two placings from four sophomore runs. Macquarie Magic will drift back from a wider gate and attempt to finish over the top of them.

Race 8 tip: Macquarie Magic to win ($4.60 at Neds)
