RACING in NSW is at Muswellbrook on Thursday as the venue hosts an eight race card to drive us into the latter stages of the week.

There’s a quality eight race card here, so rather than bore you of the details of each race let’s get straight into our tips for the day.

Race 1 – Benchmark 58 (2300m)

Nightspun is looking for a fourth-straight win and we believe it is well placed to bring up the quartet. The horse won at close to this level last time out at Bathurst and while it rises in weight, this horse is at its peak right now.

Race 1 tip: Nightspun to win ($4.40 at Neds)

Race 2 – Maiden (1000m)

Falerina only narrowly lost to smart type Rainover Manhattan at this track on January 12, and with any natural progression it takes this race out. While barrier nine is a slight concern, we think Falerina will be winning here.

Race 2 tip: Falerina to win ($2.20 at Neds)

Race 3 – Maiden (1280m)

In a downright awful maiden event, Road To Heaven looks to be a winning chance on debut. The High Chaparral three-year-old has trialed beautifully leading into this and in a race where a number of runners here have shown next to nothing, Road To Heaven should be winning at the first time of asking.

Race 3 tip: Road To Heaven to win ($1.45 at Neds)

Race 4 – Maiden (1280m)

Aside from the tough draw, Cristal Lulu should be winning this. Across its last three starts, the horse has been progressing, culminating in a less-than-a-length defeat behind Love For Willow on January. If it slides across easily from barrier 11 it will be breaking through.

Race 4 tip: Cristal Lulu to win ($2.65 at William Hill)

Race 5 – Class 1 Handicap (1280m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180889_05]

Winner’s Lane was decent upon resumption on January 12 and will be much fitter for the run. In a race where nothing much stands out the Pierro filly should be too good for this field.

Race 5 tip: Winner’s Lane to win ($3.80 at Neds)

Race 6 – Class 3 Handicap (1000m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180889_06]

Invincible Bot looms as a big threat first-up here. The son of I Am Invincible has never finished beyond a length of the winner in its four race career and should be much stronger following a five month break. We’re backing Invincible Bot to make a splash upon resumption.

Race 6 tip: Invincible Bot to win ($4 at William Hill)

Race 7 – Benchmark 64 (1450m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180889_07]

It’s Relative is well placed coming into this race. The horse has placed in four-straight races, winning three starts back before going down by a combined two parts of a length in the two subsequent races. From a great gate It’s Relative will be the runner to beat.

Race 7 tip: It’s Relative to win ($2.75 at Neds)

Race 8 – Class 1 Plate (1750m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180889_08]

Dizzy Success has placed in eight of its last nine runs and is overdue to win. In its last three runs the horse has gone down by a combined half length, highlighting just how close it has gone. Dizzy Success is ready to win.

Race 8 tip: Dizzy Success to win ($2.25 at Ladbrokes)
