Murray Bridge Races Betting Preview, 6th December 2020 Preview
There’s eight races at Murray Bridge to help round out another weekend on the punt for punters and it looks to be a card which will see plenty of competitive racing throughout. The track has come up a Good 4 at the time of writing and should stay that way with a favourable forecast over the weekend. With the rail out six metres from the 800m to the winning post and true the remainder of the circuit, each of the runners throughout the day should get their opportunity to push their case forward.
The first race at Murray Bridge will jump at 1:05pm ACDT.
We need to wait for the final race on the Murray Bridge card before we get to our best tip of the day on the eight race card. The Shayne Cahill trained six-year-old mare resumed in fine style at Balaklava when chasing down the leaders after showing a slick turn of foot despite entering the home straight towards the rear of the field. The in-form apprentice Jacob Opperman’s 2kg weight claim brings him down to 61.5kgs and looks the clear standout selection in the final event of the day. He should be a bit more prominent in the running this time round from barrier three, and with a fast tempo expected, he should be able to run over the top of the leaders when the whips are cracking.

Emma Hubbard’s seven-year-old gelding was no match for an all the way winner at Morphettville last weekend, and had to settle for a midfield finish that day. Two starts back he benefited from a positive ride and settle just off the leader duo’s heels and got the better of them over the concluding stages and looked to have plenty left in the tank whilst doing so. He’ll settle towards the rear of the field but look for him late to be making up plenty ground on the leaders and prove too strong to hold out in the opening leg of the quaddie.

Last time out at Balaklava, the Gary Searle trained three-year-old gelding was no match for the winner but showed enough to say he’d be competitive here at Murray Bridge after running into the minor money. Prior to that effort he was making some nice ground throughout the home straight at Gawler without really posing a threat either, but if he can put it all together on Sunday he should be there or thereabouts in the finish as he keeps improving at each run.
