Moruya racecourse is set to host a seven-race card on Tuesday afternoon, and HorseBetting.com.au’s New South Wales form expert presents his best bets and quaddie picks with odds from Australia’s leading online bookmakers. The track is rated a Soft 5 with the rail in the true position throughout, and the meeting is set to get underway at 12:55pm AEST.

Moruya Best Bet: One Man Band

Our best bet at Moruya comes up in the opener, when the Matthew Dale-trained One Man band looks perfectly placed to finally break his maiden tag. The five-year-old son of Not A Single Doubt as finished second at three of his last four starts, with the blip on the radar being a third placed finish. He was last seen finishing two lengths off Gaylard over this track and distance on July 12 despite getting too far out of his ground. He will require a touch of luck in the running considering he settles in the second half of the field. He has shown that he is armed with a strong turn of foot and if he is close enough to the leaders at the top of the straight, he should be finally breaking through for a maiden win.

Best BetRace 1 – One Man Band (#3) $2.45 with Sportsbet

Next Best at Moruya: Plucky Dan

The Thomas Lyttle-trained Plucky Dan is another runner who comes back to Moruya following a second-placed finish last time out and in the second leg of the quaddie looks too good to go past. The five-year-old son of Pluck was hitting the line hard on July 12, but ultimately found one better over the final 200m. On Tuesday he will need a little bit of luck from barrier 14 under Winona Costin, but if he is afforded that, then he should prove too hard to hold out.

Next Best Race 5 – Plucky Dan (#3) $7 with Neds

Next Best Again: Banger

In the third leg of the quaddie, the Matthew Dale-trained Banger resumes from a four-month spell, and he brings his best form he should prove too hard to hold out. The six-year-old son of Shrapnel had been racing in stronger company last campaign than what he faces on Tuesday. Considering he gets back in the field; he will need a little bit of luck in running but armed with a strong turn of foot he should be simply too hard to old out over the concluding stages of the 1200m.

Next Best AgainRace 6 – Banger (#5) $3.90 with Sportsbet
