First Race 11:37am ACST

Racing returns to the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday afternoon, and HorseBetting’s South Australian form analyst has picked out the best bets and top quaddie selections on offer. The meeting is set to be run on a Soft 5 with the rail in the true position, and the first of nine races is set to jump at 11:37am local time (12:07pm AEST).

Morphettville Best Bet: Jaamint

The Garret Lynch-trained Jaamint comes to Morphettville on the back of two dominant wins over the 1500m. The five-year-old mare demolished her rivals at Murray Bridge by 4.5 lengths on July 10, and on the quick seven-day backup we anticipate her to be too good as she steps up to BM68 level from BM60 grade. Having settled in the first four at Murray Bridge, she quickly took over in the home straight and put a big margin on her rivals. If she gets a similar run in transit on Saturday, it is hard to see how she gets beaten.

Best BetRace 2 – Jaamint (#8) $3.60 with Ladbrokes

Next Best at Morphettville: Reynolds

Fresh off a 10-week spell, the Michael Hickmott-trained Reynolds looks well placed to continue the strong form that saw him win three races from four starts in his first campaign in South Australia. He resumes at 1400m, as he did at Oakbank back on April 3 when putting 3.4 lengths on his closest challenger in a dominant win. Jessica Eaton has two wins and a third-placing from three starts on the five-year-old Exceed And Excel gelding, who should be too classy for this BM76 field.

Next BestRace 8 – Reynolds (#8) $5 with Sportsbet

Morphettville Value Bet: Tahnee Tradition

The Peter Hardacre-trained Tahnee Tradition comes to Morphettville following a close second at Murray Bridge on July 3 fresh off a three-month spell. She finished a length off the smart Munster, which presents solid enough form to suggest the three-year-old Written Tycoon filly can give this BM68 a shake. Despite having success in Victoria during her initial campaign when settling up on speed, Tahnee Tradition showed her versatility in settling near last at Murray Bridge when going close. If she brings that same turn of foot to this second-up run, she could take some holding out at a nice price.

Best ValueRace 9 – Tahnee Tradition (#11) $11 with Sportsbet
