A nine-race card is scheduled for the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday afternoon, and HorseBetting’s SA form expert presents his best bets and top quaddie numbers for the meeting. Morphettville Parks Best Bet – Miss Gobcain

Our best bet of the day comes up in the second leg of the quaddie when the Mark Webb-trained Miss Gobcain looks to make it two wins in a row for the first time in her career. The four-year-old mare out of Americain took out a similar race at Gawler on January 22 when settling last, looping the field and putting two lengths on her closest rivals. From barrier 10 on Saturday, she will need to adapt similar tactics in a race no harder than what she beat last time out. Under a well-timed steer from Barend Vorster on the back of a strong speed, we anticipate Miss Gobcain will be too good for this BM72 field.

Best BetRace 7 – Miss Gobcain (#4) $2.80 with Ladbrokes

Next Best Bet at Morphettville Parks – Sweet Ginger

Sweet Ginger comes to the Morphettville Parks 1250m following a truly dominant maiden win at Oakbank on January 19. The three-year-old filly out of Street Boss managed to lead the field up on that day and put close to three lengths on her rivals to suggest she has above-average ability. She draws barrier one on Saturday and with Kayla Crowther sticking on board looks to be one of the better bets of the day. Look for the filly to lead this field up and gain an uncontested lead, which should see her put a big margin on her rivals once again. We’re happy to take the $3.90 on offer from Sportsbet.

Next BestRace 2 – Sweet Ginger (#6) $3.90 with Sportsbet

Best Value Bet at Morphettville Parks – Gogolf Guru

The Debra Quinton-trained Gogolf Guru has not been beaten too far in her last two starts, finishing fourth at Strathalbyn on both occasions, but we expect she will be hard to beat in the last. The four-year-old mare out of Shooting To Win loomed as the winner last time out but peaked on her run inside the final 50m. From barrier two, with Sophie Logan on board, we expect to see her play a prominent role throughout, especially with Logan’s 2kg claim getting her down to 54.5kg. If she gain a little bit of luck in the home straight when angling for a run, we expect Gogolf Guru to prove too good this time around.

Best ValueRace 9 – Gogolf Guru (#9) $26 with Sportsbet
