With near perfect conditions forecast we expect the track to remain a Good 4. With the rail out 7m from the 1200 to the winning post and 4m the remainder, the track should play fairly. Best Bet: Race 8 #3 Midnight Storm @ $3.80
The Macdonald & Gluyas-trained Midnight Storm had strung together a hat-trick of runner up performances prior to breaking through for a win on the Parks track at Morphettville on March 20. Having sat in the one-one in the running, Midnight Storm had no excuses when it came to breaking his run of outs and duly rewarded favourite punters in style. We expect a similar run from him on Saturday afternoon and with Stacey Metcalfe on board for her 3kg claim he gets in well at the weights. If he gets some cover from barrier 10, he should be too good late.

Michael Hickmott will leg up Jess Eaton aboard Reynolds who was dynamic in victory at Oakbank on April 3. On the quick seven day backup, we think it did not take much out of the Exceed And Excel gelding. He won nicely when winning against the bias of the track from the rear of the field last Saturday. From barrier seven, expect Eaton to have Reynolds towards the rear of the field and watch them charge home in the straight to bring up consecutive wins for the first time in his career.

Daily Spirit is yet to run outside of the top three in four goes at Morphettville, and having already won over this track and distance, the Zebedee filly looks well placed to bring up another win. From barrier three, we expect Daily Spirit to be close to the lead throughout the running and we can not see any reason why she cannot string together back to back victories. She is honest as they come, and expect her to build on her impressive record at Morphettville.
