Morphettville racing tips & form for Saturday, February 10

SOUTH Australian racing is at Morphettville this weekend as the premier venue hosts a strong nine race card.

A number of in-form runners that we have been keeping an eye on are taking to the Parks track, so let’s get stuck into the tips and find some winners.

Race 1 – Benchmark 82 (2400m)

Bondeiger is a last-start winner that can go on with the job here. The horse blitzed them at the Valley in a similar graded race and we feel the son of War Pass will go back-to-back in its first-ever Adelaide run.

Race 1 tip: Bondeiger to win ($1.95 at Topbetta)

Race 2 – Benchmark 90 (1400m)

Lord Topper is looking to deliver a third-straight win and a fourth win from five starts. From the great gate and in a small field it should lead easily and take this out from the front. Not much more to say about our best bet of the day, just get on board.

Race 2 tip: Lord Topper to win ($2.10 at William Hill)

Race 3 – Benchmark 70 (1300m)

Counterplay comes into this race first-up where it has won once and placed another time over two starts. The Sepoy filly has been running in great races in Melbourne, and the drop in class that comes about just from racing in Adelaide will be greatly beneficial.

Race 3 tip: Counterplay to win ($1.65 at Sportsbet)

Race 4 – Maiden Handicap (1250m)

Oh Mo debuted well at Gawler on January 31 and we feel it will deliver a strong performance at the second time of asking. The horse will spear out and look to lead from barrier eight and take this out from the front in a race that lacks early speed.

Race 4 tip: Oh Mo to win ($7 at William Hill)

Race 5 – Benchmark 90 (1000m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1181341_05]

Sullivan Bay is a quality Lindsay Park runner that can make an impact first-up here. The horse has been racing exclusively in Victoria over the last 12 months, but it returns to a track where it has recorded two wins from four attempts. Sullivan Bay looms as a winning threat.

Race 5 tip: Sullivan Bay to win ($4.60 at Topbetta)

Race 6 – Benchmark 75 (1550m)

Enki loves South Australian racing and we think it can continue to improve in the red state. At Morphettville the horse has never won, but from nine attempts the galloper has recorded three placings. The horse looms as one of the better runners heading into it.

Race 6 tip: Enki to win ($4 at Ladbrokes)

Race 7 – Benchmark 70 (1000m)

With Hope has exactly that going into the seven given its great resuming record. The horse has a win and a placing from two first-up attempts and has finished a neat length off the winner in its last two BM70 starts.

Race 7 tip:With Hope to win ($7.50 at Ladbrokes)

Race 8 – Benchmark 75 (1250m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1181341_08]

Rupture steps up slightly in grade here but drops significantly in weight, which will be telling. The horse drops 3kg after finishing half a length behind the winner in a BM70 contest. From gate three Rupture will be right in the contest here and highly competitive at a great price.

Race 8 tip: Rupture to win ($8 at Crownbet)

Race 9 – Benchmark 64 (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1181341_09]

Tycoon Sofie drops back in grade after only finishing a length behind the winner at BM70 level on January 20. The horse gets an additional 2.5kg due to that fact, but from a good draw it should be able to spear forward and deliver a great sight from the front.

Race 9 tip: Tycoon Sofie to win ($9.50 at Sportsbet)
