Morphettville betting preview
A near-perfect summer’s day is forecasted for Morphettville’s nine-race card on Saturday afternoon. We’re set for a competitive day of racing on a Good 4, with the first to jump at 1:01pm ACDT.
Mick Huxtable and Jessica Eaton will look to combine for consecutive victories with this four-year-old gelding. He absolutely bolted in his last start in a three-horse field, giving neither of his rivals a chance. From barrier eight, Eaton should be able to get her mount up on the speed early with a fair amount of ease. Considering Ritratto is the only galloper in the race with any known early speed, he should get an easy time of it out in front and prove incredibly hard to run down.

After bombing the start on the Morphettville Parks track a fortnight ago, Exalted Zoe was never really a winning chance when settling midfield. She’s a galloper who much prefers the clear air out in front, which is what she will look for here as she chases a third from four starts this campaign. With her 2kg claim, apprentice Teegan Voorham should be able to lead this field up from barrier one and put a gap on them in the concluding stages.

It’s hard to ignore the form that The Crusha has been putting together over the border in Victoria. He’s chased home the likes of La Mexicana and Meteorite in recent times, both of which won in metropolitan company during the Spring Racing Carnival. From barrier six, the in-form Todd Pannell will look to settle him with cover in the moving line. If he is afforded a touch of luck, The Crusha should be right in the finish in the penultimate race on the card.
