The course proper at Morphettville is set to host a nine-race program on Saturday afternoon. Perfect conditions are forecast, the track is expected to come up a Good 4, and the rail comes out 9m from the 1200m to the winning post and then out 5m the remainder. Racing gets underway at 12:17pm ACST.
Best Bet at Morphettville: Sweetened
In the opening leg of the quaddie, Sweetened will be looking to bring up a second-straight win. The four-year-old mare bloused her rivals in emphatic fashion at the Morphettville 1050m, and on her return to the track and trip, we expect she will do something similar. From barrier four under Ben Price, Sweetened should not be too far from the speed throughout, and if she shows a similar turn of foot to last time, she should be blowing her rivals away once again.

Next Best at Morphettville: Sixteen Reasons
Sixteen Reasons was a good thing beat at the Morphettville 1200m on August 12, bombing the start and peaking on her run to go down by the barest of margins. The four-year-old steps back to the 1050m, which should be no hassle, but needs the race to be run at a genuine tempo. The mare should get that on Saturday with plenty of rivals looking for the front. Sixteen Reasons has the best turn of foot in the race, and if she is anywhere near her best, she should prove too hard to hold out.

Best Value at Morphettville: Dothraki
The Paul Preusker-trained Dothraki has been knocking on the door in recent times and looks to get his chance on Saturday. The six-year-old gelding was narrowly beaten by Karacasu in a tougher event at Morphettville on July 29, and with five weeks between runs, he looks perfectly placed in this BM72 over 1200m. With Alana Livesey on board claiming 2kg, he gets in perfectly with just 60.5kg on his back. From barrier two, Dothraki will gain a beautiful run in transit, and if he can sprint sharply with the big weight, Dothraki looks a great value play.
