Best Bet at Morphettville: Splash Back
The way the Andrew Bobbin-trained Splash Back won at Warrnambool on October 6 suggested she was a horse worth following. The four-year-old mare gave her rivals a start and a beating when coming from near last to win by just under a length in impressive style. Her turn of foot inside the final 150m was top-tier for BM58 level, and the step up to an Adelaide BM68 looks ideal. With speed drawn wide, she will settle towards the rear once again. If the breaks come her way, Splash Back should be bringing up a third win at start four.

Aviatress had to overcome some difficulties on her debut run, but she powered away to score by 1.5 lengths. She struggled to find clear air until the 200m mark, but from there she went through the gears nicely and pounced on the leader in impressive fashion. She draws barrier 10 on Saturday and will most likely be at the rear of the field upon turning. Aviatress has a strong turn of foot, and with race experience under her belt, she can go on with the job at start two.

Best Value at Morphettville: Vino Decasa Nostra
Vino Decasa Nostra has been in career-best form of late and comes into this fresh off a win at the Murray Bridge 2000m, where he was forced to chase a strong speed from the rear of the field. He strikes a similar race on the weekend, with a solid tempo expected throughout. If Vino Decasa Nostra can gain a tow into the race, he should prove too hard to hold out.
