Feature racing heads to Morphettville Racecourse on Saturday afternoon where the Listed Hill Smith Stakes (1800m) headlines a competitive 10-race card. With clear days forecast for Friday and Saturday, we should be racing on a Good 4 surface, despite the track coming up a Soft 5 at the time of acceptances. The rail sticks to the true position, for the meeting commencing at 11:56am ACDT.
Hill Smith Stakes Top Tip: Ruminate
Just a small field of eight will compete for the $120,000 on the line in the Listed Hill Smith Stakes and with a bit of luck, Ruminate from the Matt Cumani barn can salute. The three-year-old gelding had to chase a hot tempo in arguably a harder race than this at Moonee Valley on September 9 when finding the likes of Fistsoffury, Apulia and Autumn Angel a bit too classy. The step up to 1800m looks ideal for this son of So You Think and, in a race, where he looks to land the one-one, Ruminate might just prove a touch good for his rivals.

Best Bet at Morphettville: Street Delight
Street Delight has finished second at her last two starts but gets her chance to go one better on Saturday. The mare hailing from the Phillip Stokes yard continually runs on and looks a winner in the making but manages to run into one better on the day in recent times. She draws to gain a perfect run under Lachlan Neindorf from barrier three. Street Delight is obviously the in-form horse in the race, albeit without winning and with even luck in the home straight, he should bring up a well overdue win.

Next Best at Morphettville: Angry Skies
Angry Skies bought up a long overdue second career win when saluting at the Morphettville 1500m and a return to the track and trip on Saturday looks ideal. The four-year-old gelding had consistently been racing in tougher events then what he faced last time out and relished the step back in grade. This does not look too difficult for a horse of his quality and if Jake Toeroek can gain a tow into the race from the second-half of the field, Angry Skies looks to have a bit too much class for his rivals.

Best Value at Morphettville: Episodic
We will be hoping to get the day off to a winning start as the Will Clarken & Nikki O’Shea-trained Episodic looks to break maiden ranks at start eight. The four-year-old mare was below her best when rolled as an odds-on favourite over 1300m on September 30, but the step back to the 1200m looks to suit her perfectly. From barrier three, Ben Price can have the daughter of Tavistock settled closer to the speed in this and with even luck in the home straight, Episodic can get the better of her rivals.
