More dollars for Waller in The Bracelet

Chris Waller
Chris Waller has yet another gun prospect on his hands.

Well-bred filly Another Dollar can take a major first step to giving her high profile owners another Group One winner.

Another Dollar will be having only her fifth start when she tackles Saturday’s Group Three Bracelet (1600m) at Doomben.

It would be harder to find a more high profile set of owners than the syndicate which races Another Dollar.

She sports the colours of Frank Cook who is one of trainer Chris Waller’s biggest clients.

Her other owners include super mare Winx’s part owner Peter Tighe and Neil Greenhalgh who part-owns Australian Oaks winner Unforgotten.

Waller, who also has a share in the filly, sent Another Dollar to his Gold Coast stable to give her time to mature.

Another Dollar had five trials before finally getting to the races and has won twice from four starts.

She beat older mares in her most recent win at Toowoomba three weeks ago.

Waller’s Gold Coast manager Paul Shailer has a big opinion of Another Dollar who he hopes will be a Group One Queensland Oaks contender.

“Not many three-year-old fillies beat the older mares at their fourth race start,” Shailer said.

“And don’t forget she hadn’t started for eight weeks. We thought she might have had too much class for them at Toowoomba but it was still a good effort.”

Shailer said provided Another Dollar got through Saturday’s race from a tricky gate she would press on to the Doomben Roses and Oaks.

Another Dollar is another of Cox Plate winner Ocean Park ‘s offspring to show staying promise.
