Dollar For Dollar will not have his usual rider aboard when he tries to build on his current winning streak but jockey Jye McNeil is excited to be given the chance to ride him in the Chester Manifold Stakes.

Jamie Kah rode Dollar For Dollar to his four-straight wins during the spring, two in Adelaide and two in Melbourne.

Kah is at the Gold Coast’s rich Magic Millions meeting on Saturday so trainer Tony McEvoy has called on McNeil to partner Dollar For Dollar in his return from a let-up in the Listed 1400m feature at Flemington.

“Obviously with Jamie up at the Magic Millions on Saturday, I think that’s how I’ve picked up the ride,” McNeil said.

“But he’s drawn a good barrier in four and he’s in great form, so I’m really excited.

“I do one day a week at Tony’s riding trackwork and it’s good to get the rewards.

“With his team growing every week he’s getting more and more horses running in Melbourne now, so to be a part of the team and be there doing the work and then getting the rides, it’s good.”

McNeil rode Dollar For Dollar in a couple of gallops before he raced in Melbourne in the spring and goes to the race off a city win at Sandown on Wednesday on Tuff Bickie.

Dollar For Dollar won two benchmark races in South Australia to start his current winning streak before heading to Victoria where he snared wins in a benchmark-90 during the Melbourne Cup carnival at Flemington and then won the Group Three Sandown Stakes (1500m).

Saturday’s race will be his first since the Sandown win.

“He keeps taking that step up and he would be right in there with a good chance on Saturday,” McNeil said.

McNeil will be chasing his fifth black-type victory having won twice at Group Three level and twice at Listed level.

Kah’s six rides at the Gold Coast includs the McEvoy-trained Crockett in the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

The Chester Manifold has attracted a final field of 12 including four horses from the Darren Weir stable.

Nikitas has been accepted for the Chester Manifold as a back-up in case he can not get on a flight to Queensland to contest the Magic Millions Cup.

Weir also has Burning Front, Royal Rapture and Goldstream in the Chester Manifold.
