Tuesday racing tips for Mackay
Queensland racing heads to Mackay on Tuesday afternoon for just the seven races. The rail goes out +2m for the entire circumference, the track is rated a Good 4, and the first race will jump at 1:34pm AEST.
This former Chris Waller gelding made his North Queensland debut in ultra-impressive fashion when winning by 6L at this track last start. Moreno is a winner at Warwick Farm and has great form around the likes of Splintex, Spencer and Mr Dependable. He stays at the same track and trip and has drawn in barrier seven for Ash Butler to push forward and box seat. He rises only 0.5kg in weight and should be too good for them here.

Ricky Vale and Ryan Wiggins combine in the last with Trump Me. He won two starts back at this track in good fashion and placed second at his only other start at Mackay. Back in April he won a very strong Rockhampton maiden which saw seven subsequent winners come out of it, so that form should stand up in this. Wiggins will cruise over from barrier 12 to find a position with cover, while the 1300m will suit.

Six-year-old mare Annmarie joins the Ian Shaw stable and finds herself in a winnable maiden. She’s had 37 starts without a win but has placed 11 times including a second at this track back in June. The pacifiers come off for the first time and she has placed first up in the past, so we expect her to run well here. A lot of these have fairly plain form, so she looks a good each-way play at around the $12.
