Queensland racing heads to Mackay on Tuesday for an eight-piece card. The rail is back into the true position with the track rated a Good 4. The runners in the first will face the starter at 12:42pm AEST, and the final event of the day will jump at 5:05pm.

Race 4 – All Star Rocket @ $1.85 Sportsbet
All Star Rocket comes up an even-money favourite in the fourth event on the program. In just her first campaign in Queensland, the All Too Hard mare has two wins and two seconds from just the four starts, with her latest effort coming in the form of a 2.5-length victory over the smart Charles Seven. She stays at 1300m here at the same course and will look to get a great run behind the speed from barrier six. In just BM55 grade, she is the one they have to beat.
Race 8 – Elle A Walking @ $2.80 Sportsbet
John Manzelmann’s eight-year-old gelding Elle A Walking has been knocking on the door with two consecutive third-place runs. Prior to that he was sent around in the Rockhampton Cup, where he finished down the track after settling last. Marnu Potgeiter takes the ride from barrier nine and will aid the horse with his 3kg claim, getting the weights down to 59.5kg. Elle A Walking’s last-start third behind Don’t Doubt Lara was a strong indicator that the rise in trip will be a big plus, and there doesn’t appear to be a great deal of class in this Benchmark 65 event. In a race full of non-winners, he looks by far the pick of them.
Race 6 – Brad @ $4.20 Sportsbet
Trinity Bannon and Justin Stanley combine with Brad. The ex-NSW galloper was victorious three times from four starts in his first Queensland campaign before returning with a second and a third at this track in the past month. He has never missed the places at Mackay (4:1-1-2) and looks well positioned to finish in the money again. Despite drawing one from the outside, Stanley will send the gelding towards the rear and look to make his run down the middle of the track in the straight – a successful tactic for the five-year-old in the past. There should be plenty of speed in the race with Ta Chanson, Sequablur and Don’t Doubt Maeve all likely to be right there on the speed, so it sets up perfectly for Brad to get back into the winner’s stall third up.
